Licencing Information
NZ Financial Services Group Limited(NZFSG) (FSP286965) holds a license issued by the Financial Markets Authority to provide financial advice. Earnslaw Goodlight Profinance Ltd trading as Profinance NZ (FSP755052) is currently authorised to operate under the licence provided by NZFSG. Earnslaw Goodlight Profinance is currently in the process of obtaining a licence to provide its own financial advice.
Nature and Scope of Advice
Profinance NZ provides advice to our clients about Commercial Loans, Home Loans (mortgages), Unsecured Business Loans (not supported by property), Asset Finance, Equipment Leasing and Specialist Situations as required such as Trade Finance and Restructure Advisory.
We provide financial advice about products from most lenders some of who pay commission to Profinance NZ and some do not.
Fees and Expenses
Due to the nature of Profinance NZ's work, for the financial advice we provide we receive some commission from lenders. However many do not pay us and charge our customers directly. We will advise you in further detail via our individual Disclosure statement and individual Scope of Service document.
Conflicts of Interest and Incentives
Profinance NZ and our financial advisers can receive commissions from the providers on whose products we give financial advice. If you decide to take out a mortgage, the provider will pay a commission to Profinance NZ. The amount of commission is based on the amount of the mortgage.
To ensure that our financial advisers prioritise our clients’ interests above their own, we follow an advice process that ensures our recommendations are made on the basis of each client’s goals and circumstances. All our financial advisers undergo annual training about how to manage conflicts of interest. We maintain registers of conflicts of interests, and the gifts and incentives we receive.
NZFSG monitors these registers and provides additional training where necessary. NZFSG performs an annual review of our compliance programme.
